We've celebrated 4 days of Advent so far this year. The kids really enjoy getting the chocolate in the morning ;-) But are now starting to look forward to what activity we will be doing next. I don't have a set order to when we will do what activity, just whatever I decide will work for that day. I'll break it down by day and if it gets to be too much I may do every couple days so posts aren't too long.
Day 1: We made ornaments for the tree. They are very creative and crafty.
Definitely proud of their work!
Day 2: We made cupcakes to give to our neighbors with an invite to A James River Christmas.
They love to be in the kitchen helping bake stuff. Especially because they get to taste test them too ;-)
Day 3: We celebrated Advent by attending A James River Christmas at our church.
The kids loved the show, along with the snow and animals!
We also were able to put together a shoebox online for Operation Christmas Child. We will have to make sure we do it earlier next year so we can do it ourselves again. Glad we were still able to participate though.
Day 4: We drove through a live nativity of the journey to Bethlehem and the manger.
