Back to normal

So here we are over a week and three Kleenex boxes later and I still have some shoved up my nose!
Ugh, it's been a long, exhausting, fun filled, frustrating, exciting week for us.
I had a cold hit last weekend, stuffy nose and a sore throat. Mark's parents were scheduled to arrive Sunday afternoon to visit for a few days. They were kind enough to bring a trailer full of stuff we had left back in Wisconsin when moving. Things including: Bikes, grill, golf clubs, a loveseat, ladder, rakes and more. Things that will be helpful and appreciated for the summer.
Unfortunately his parents didn't make it to Springfield before we got a text in the middle of church causing us to leave early and pick them up. (Two hours away) Which we were happy to do :-) Back and forth they went the next couple days to figure out how to get it fixed. They ended up staying here an extra day but the kids loved it.
We took a trip to Bass Pro, Kyron finally learned how to ride his bike without training wheels (kind of a big deal) all the while I just couldn't get rid of the congestion building up in my nose. Thursday was the worst when my throat hurt more than anything. Mark's parents left for Oklahoma (where his sister lives) to visit and Mark went to work.
I got better but not much and Mark had a men's conference at church Friday and Saturday where they set up a stronger warrior course similar to American Ninja Warrior. Mark didn't compete but was able to watch, meet and take a picture with Joe "the weather man" Moravsky. (Left)
If you've ever seen the show he's been in it for the last three years being the only one to make it to stage 3 multiple times! So that was pretty exciting!
Our dryer wasn't hooked up to the breaker when we got it so Mark's dad helped us with that only to have it start smoking. Turns out it had a bad motor. So one more trip to the laundry mat was a real thrill...but the dryer is fixed now!
Mark's brother and sister in law showed up early Saturday morning and his whole family met down in branson at the sights and sound theater to watch Moses.
The kids enjoyed it and it was nice to be all together again since moving.
Darien added another scar to his face by falling off the couch into the edge of our end table. Poor kid!
Everyone left Sunday morning, Mark's parent's car was fixed and they drove about an hour before it started having problems again but his brother was able to take them home.
Kyron had off school all week which was nice to have time with grandma and grandma! So we are back in our normal routine. Just wish I felt better so I can be on top of things I've been meaning to get done.
We've also had more unwanted pests visit this past week including another mouse, two brown recluse spiders and a couple beatle looking bugs. And the ants are still an issue. We did spray stuff on the outside of the house but have decided the best thing to do is bomb our house...just not sure when and what we'll use yet.
So that's what our last week looked like. I don't think I missed anything. We are hoping to start on a few projects with some wood and pallets we got so stay tuned for those!!
Hope everyone else had a good week and continue to look to God in every circumstance. Till next time :-)
