Preparing for a girl...

So on the reverse side of things, the biggest challenge will be to figure out the room decor if we have a girl. I have so many things that I want to happen, first of all having a girl!!:) and by the looks of my poll most others do too. Even though I would be happy with either, as long as it's healthy, something inside me wants a little girl. Anyway, so besides the fact that I have nothing girly, I have thought much about how I would go about making their shared room work for both genders. In my last post I showed a picture of the crib we have decided to get, and it was boy themed. Well I found a picture of a girl theme, just to give you a little idea!I love the whole canopy idea. I think it will add to the girly part of the room. I do have another picture of one, it's the cutest!I have a plain white one that never really got used for Kyron, but not sure where it is. So if I can come up with an idea to make it girly I sure will put up pictures if our precious little one is a girl. To make each side of the room a different gender, I thought maybe to paint the one wall a different color, and maybe change the boarder from Thomas. Mark doesn't like the idea of painting the wall a different color, maybe he's afraid it will look dumb, I don't know. But I found a picture of a room design that might work. The sides would be reversed, crib being for the girl, and bed being for the boy, but you get the idea.So I could definitely make it work with the same color design. We have light blue on the top and a light green on the bottom, I just have to find a color scheme that would match and change the boarder...easier said then done, but who knows! Lastly I have an idea of what I want to do for this next one's name on the wall. It's something I wanted for Kyron to show possession and helps him learn how to spell his name. This is the cutest picture I found of what I like so far.I really like the wooden letters idea, or maybe blocks like this... I don't like the idea of painting the name on the wall, then if we change the room around or something, we'd have to paint over it again and again. I really like the idea of the letters being vertical, just for a change. But we'll see what happens! If you have any ideas or comments, please feel free to let me know!
