Summer Project #1

I know last summer we had a bunch of things we wanted to get done, but only got our shed up. So hopefully we'll be able to do a little more. We are in the process of making our backyard a great place to hang out and relax. We have doubled in size since last year as we dug out all our gravel and planted grass. It grew a little over the winter, but we plan to plant some more, just to make it look more full! The first project we started and finished was competely fencing in our yard, so that Kyron wouldn't run down the driveway as if he was playing a game and trying not to get caught by us. Thankfully we are faster than him, but no worries anymore! The next step was finding him something to do while we worked on all the other things we'll be doing back there, so we bought a swingset from Wal-Mart. He loves it, and always has to swing on all three swings. He also loves the slide addition. So once we got that up we started working on moving one of our deck pieces over to the other side and attatching it to make it bigger on that side. Then we are going to put in a patio where that piece we took off was. So the deck piece was taken off and taken apart and cut to fit better, then put back together and screwed into place!! It looks great, and I'm glad we got it out of the way, because I'm afraid this patio is going to take a while. I am having people over for my birthday, so we'll see if it gets done by then! Here is a picture of the side of the deck we made a little, a before and after picture will come when our patio is complete!!
